Holistic Animal Health: Vaccinosis
Health Hazard of Routine Vaccination: placing our animals at risk
"Routine" vaccination has adverse side-effects, either short or long term. With vaccines that are repeated year after year, the frequency and severity of these side-effects in our pets has increased dramatically. Most of the problems involve the immune system. After all, the immune system is what vaccines are designed to stimulate. But they do so in a very unnatural way that can overwhelm and confuse the immune system." donna starita mehan DVM

Devoted dog owners often claim that their pets understand them. A new study suggests they could be right.

And the other benefit of feeding whole, fresh food is that it isn’t processed. High-heat processing of pet food – especially kibble – creates potent carcinogens like acrylamide and heterocyclic amine. Needless to say, these cancer-causing by-products of processing won’t be listed on any pet food ingredient list. But they are extremely dangerous, even in small amounts, when fed day in and day out. There’s a connection between these carcinogens and the rising rates of cancer in today’s pets.

EPA Document Proves Euthanized Dogs and Cats are Rendered for dog food.

Here are four questions I would ask a veterinarian for a “holistic test”:
1 -- Do you agree with the AVMA & AAHA and tell pet owners that feeding their cats (obligate carnivores) and dogs (carnivores) a balanced, enzyme-rich raw meat diet is very dangerous and a bad idea?
2--Do you recommend/sell brands of pet foods such as Hill’s Prescription Diet, Science Diet, Purina Veterinary Diet, Iams Veterinary Formula, Eukanuba Veterinary Diet, Royal Canin Veterinary Care Nutrition, Royal Canin Veterinary Therapeutic Formulas or any pet foods containing grains?
3--Do you recommend using powerful drugs such as steroids, NASAIDs, antibiotics, corticosteroids, etc. as a first form of treatment without looking at ALL other alternatives?
4--Do you recommend annual/frequent vaccinations?
If the answer to any of the above questions is yes, politely say “thank you for your time”, quickly hang up and phone another veterinarian.

Great article to read before vaccinating your pet.

Before vaccinating your pet read what the world renowned leading experts Dr Jean Dodds DVM and Dr Ron Shultz  PHD have to say. They have been clinically studying immunology for over 45 years. Ask your veterinarian how many years they have studied immunology??? Not how many years they have been a Veterinarian but how many years they have clinically studied immunology? Dr Jean Dodds and Dr Ron Shultz explain how to vaccinate your pup safely in the links below.

A veterinary Journal article estimates reactions increase 24% on average for each vaccine given. Combination shots typically contain 4 to 7 vaccines. Add kennel cough and rabies and that's 6 to 9 vaccine. Reactions reported ranged from hives to death.http://youtu.be/l7vsjmcqgGU

VACCINATION GUIDELINES FOR NEW PUPPY OWNERS
The World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) has issued guidelines to veterinary surgeons and dog owners which aim to ensure that dogs are protected from infectious disease, while reducing the number of vaccines that are given routinely. Full guidelines are available at this link:

Prevent Parvo and Distemper Without Vaccination
Imagine avoiding risky vaccinations while getting very strong immune protection against parvo and distemper, the two potentially deadly diseases of puppies. That’s not only possible, but it’s been proven to work in the real world by a holistic vet in New Jersey, USA.

Perform vaccine antibody titers for distemper and parvovirus every three years thereafter, or more often, if desired. Vaccinate for rabies virus according to the law, except where circumstances indicate that a written waiver needs to be obtained from the primary care veterinarian.  In that case, a rabies antibody titer can also be performed to accompany the waiver request.  See Rabies Challenge Fund.
